This morning my dad and I put up our home garden. I am absolutely thrilled!! I have done tons of gardening at the holly farm but there is a different rewarding feeling that comes with digging in your OWN garden!! It's so nice to have one "for my own particular use." ;-) It's a small start but I just can't wait to harvest all the veggies! Here's what I planted: Carrots, Radishes, Bush Beans, Cabbage, Broccoli, Onions, Lettuce, Cilantro, parsley, and dill. My dad worked really hard at putting up the fence. It's not a beauty, but it's certainly sufficient to keep out the "wabbits".
Very cool! I hear you Dad and sister want chickens too.
ReplyDeleteyeeeah....I personally prefer NOT to, but it's not up to me. I figured that I will be the plant person and let my dad be the chicken person. LOL
ReplyDeleteI count it a blessing (yes, even with the blisters on my hands) to be able to give you your very own plot of soil surrounded by a bunny-proof barrier. I look forward to eating those yummy radishes and other assortment of goodies in the months ahead. Hmmm, wonder if chicken poop makes good furtilizer?
ReplyDeleteBunnies are cute, but irritating when they interfere with gardens.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome Alyssa! I can't wait to see these little sprouts fully grown!
